Ortega sends his son to attack the bishops on Twitter

In an escalation of repression against the Catholic Church and its priests, the son of the dictators Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo, Juan Carlos Ortega Murillo, published a tweet as a sign of attack against the bishops of Nicaragua, pointing out that “under every cassock there is a common man , full of vices, avarice and impious thoughts».

The sanctioned director of the ruling party Channel 8 is one of the most controversial members of the dictatorial family, he uses his account on the social network Twitter to pounce on anyone who criticizes his parents, who rule the country with an iron fist and keep more of 180 political prisoners for demanding justice, freedom and democracy.

Ortega Murillo’s message is given in a context of maximum tension in the null and extinct relationship between the Church and the Nicaraguan dictatorship that has decided to undertake a persecution, siege and harassment against the priest Harving Padilla, pastor of the San Juan Bautista Church in Masaya and the Bishop of Matagalpa, Monsignor Rolando Álvarez.

This is not the first time that the religious have been criticized by Juan Carlos Ortega, who has said that the Church promotes division for political purposes. In addition, he follows the speech of his parents, who in their “war” created against the bishops brand them as “coup plotters, satanic and manipulators”

The Santo Cristo de Las Colinas parishes in Managua, where Monsignor Álvarez is sheltered, and the San Juan Bautista Church in Masaya are besieged by a strong force of police officers and this Sunday, May 22, they have not allowed the entry of the faithful to mass

Álvarez denounced that two priests, who would come to concelebrate a mass that day, were insulted and verbally assaulted by the police officers who keep the parish under siege where they carry out a day of indefinite fasting and prayer due to the resurgence of persecution against them.

“It is empty (the religious temple) because the Police do not allow entry, they keep the temple cordoned off, but they have also seen that no priest accompanies me because two brothers who came to concelebrate with me were rejected, impeding their passage with rudeness, even rudeness” Monsignor Álvarez denounced during his Sunday homily.

To Father Pablo Antonio Villafranca, parish priest of Our Lord of Veracruz, the police officers said an offense against him and his mother “with that ugly word; yelling at the other end of the interlocutor (radio) “that son of a bitch… don’t let him pass”».
