The country is going through the fourth wave of coronavirus and, although infections have increased by 200% in the last month, the Government trusts the effectiveness of the vaccination campaign to reduce hospitalizations.
In this sense, the authorities, for now, do not plan to establish restrictions to manage the covid 19; however, they do recommend going to be vaccinated against coronavirus and especially receive reinforcement.
Also, if you have symptoms of coronaviruswhich can be cough, fever, body aches, malaise, loss of smell or taste, among others, the main recommendation is to self-isolate.
This, especially if it is a person over 50 years of age, or if the citizen is or lives with a population at risk. In addition, if you are part of this group, it is suggested to carry out a test to confirm the diagnosis.
In the event that the test is positive, if you are over 50 years of age, a pregnant woman or a population at risk, it is recommended to isolate yourself and maintain permanent contact with the health system to report any change in symptoms.
If it is a person who was in close positive contact, it is no longer necessary to carry out the isolation or the test, only extreme prevention measures and in the case of presenting serious symptoms, go to the doctor.
Besides, while the symptoms last, the citizen must remain at home, not attend entertainment or work activitieswhich can be justified with a medical certificate.
Citizens go to get vaccinated for the fourth wave of the coronavirus
Given the increase in infections by covid 19 and the recommendations of the Ministry of Health to apply the vaccine, citizens go to the vaccination clinics en masse to receive the biological, especially the booster.
Meanwhile, the ministry recommends extreme care such as the use of a mask, hand washing and keeping spaces ventilated, to prevent further spread of the virus during the winter season.
