The general director of the Santo Domingo Aqueduct and Sewerage Corporation (CAASD), Felipe Suberví, highlighted the work carried out by the Government, through that institution, for the benefit of the community of that municipality.
Heading the “Government in the Provinces” initiative, the official cited the permanent work in the distribution network to improve the service of drinking water and other works that benefit thousands of families in the aforementioned demarcation.
In this sense, he spoke of the transparent management in the use of resources for the execution of each of the projects identified in order to guarantee the improvement in the quality of life of the population of Santo domingo norte.
He also said that more than 7,800 million pesos have been invested in around 45 infrastructures, among which works in the areas of education, health, housing, social programs, among others, stand out.
Cañada de Marañon
In another order, the director of the CAASD announced the beginning of the works for the sanitation of the Cañada de Marañon, a work that will benefit a population of more than 55,000 inhabitants, whose investment exceeds 600 million pesos.
In that sense, he explained that the project is awarded to four contractors, with the aim of accelerating the work that will positively impact the health levels of the residents of these communities.
In addition, he added, that the Brisas del Norte, Ponce and Bajo Mundo ravines are already budgeted for execution in the coming months.

Among the officials and representatives of the Executive Power were the Minister of Energy and Mines, Antonio Almonte; the director of the Community Technology Centers, Isidro Torres; Governor of Santo Domingo, Julia Drullard, Director of Public Works Projects and Programs, Cesar Lebrón, among others.
During the conversation, the community members and representatives of the neighborhood association and civil society presented their concerns.
