The Ministry of Productive Development of the Nation, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Argentina and the Argentine Investment and International Trade Agency (AAICI) participated in a meeting called “Cloud Matchmaking China-Argentina Fair 2022”, within the framework of the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The event, which took place virtually the day before, was organized by ICBC Argentina and the ICBC Foundation.
The activity consisted of 71 business meetings between 26 Chinese and 26 Argentine companies, for which companies that produce wine, meat, dairy, citrus and other high-quality Argentine products were selected, in order to expand commercial opportunities and promote bilateral business between the two countries.
At the opening of the event they participated -through two messages- the Secretary of Small and Medium Enterprises and Entrepreneurs of the Nation, Guillermo Merediz; and Li Zong, deputy director general of ICBC’s Inclusive Finance Department, the bank said in a statement.
Also participating were Lucas Gioja, Director of International Relations of the Argentine Investment and International Trade Agency; Xia Diya, Economic and Commercial Counselor Minister of the Chinese Embassy in Argentina; Marcelo Di Pace, Chief of Staff at the Foreign Ministry’s Undersecretary for Trade and Investment Promotion; and Andrés Lozano, head of Personal and Corporate Banking at ICBC Argentina.
This new edition of the China-Argentina Cloud Matchmaking Fair was the sixth held since December 2020, when this platform was launched.
In the previous fairs, import and export agreements were negotiated for wines, agricultural products, dairy products, auto parts and tools, among others.
