Fuel prices from May 21 to 27, 2022

The prices of fuels will not present variations for the week from May 21 to 27, 2022, according to the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Mipymes (MICM).

Also, the authorities announced that the fFuel oil #6 maintains its price at 192.11 pesos per gallon and fFuel oil 1%S will continue at 211.77 pesos per gallon.

In addition, the price of gas liquefied petroleum (LPG) will remain at 147.60 pesos per gallon and the gAs natural will continue to be 28.97 pesos per cubic meter.

The deputy minister of internal trade, Ramón Pérez Fermín, explained that the price of WTI oil averaged 110.56 dollars, for a significant increase of 5.0% in relation to the average of the previous week.

He indicated that the issues that affect the local market have not changed, the conflict in Ukraine has become uncertain and long-lasting. “Together with the humanitarian cost, the economic component reaches our country, in response to which the government is called to act,” he said.

“Due to the effort, commitment and efficiency of the Government, none of this will materialize. The Government will assume 100 percent of the increases, at a cost of 1,215 million pesos, protecting the economy of households and the pockets of Dominicans,” added Pérez.
