The president of the State Health Services Administration (ASSE), Leonardo Cipriani, visited this Friday the 20th the Florida hospital, to which the Support Commission of the departmental health center donated a specialized ambulance. Then, at the 25 de Agosto polyclinic, ASSE delivered another mobile unit, which will be for the exclusive use of that unit.
Cipriani toured the department of Florida accompanied by the vice president of ASSE, Marcelo Sosa; the director of the West Subregional, Leonardo Pandolfo; the departmental mayor, Guillermo López; the general secretary of the administration, Marcos Pérez, and other authorities of the assistance centers.
In dialogue with the Presidential Communication, Cipriani reported that the new specialized ambulance is added to the hospital fleet and that it will be used by Florida’s unique emergency system, which has been operating since 1989 jointly by ASSE, the hospital, the administration, the Police and the Army Battalion.
Around noon, the chief visited the town of 25 de Agosto, where he delivered a transfer ambulance that will be used exclusively by the local polyclinic, which serves more than 1,800 users. He also announced that the establishment of a family doctor for the permanent care of the community was finalized.
He also said that the service of the Emergency Medical Care System (SAME 105) was strengthened, with a base in the city of Santa Lucía, which will provide urgent and emergency services 24 hours a day throughout the year. “This is true decentralization,” said Cipriani.
Finally, the chief recalled that in Florida five ambulances and mobiles were delivered in rural areas, which allow meeting the demand of the 37,600 ASSE users in the department. Presidency
