The Ministry of Economy announced today (20) the additional contingency of R$ 8.2 billion in the Budget to meet the spending ceiling. The new lock will be added to the contingency of R$ 1.7 billion in the first half.
The reduction of the primary deficit forecast from R$ 66.9 billion to R$ 65.5 billion was also announced. There was a gain in the collection of R$ 49.1 billion. The revenue still does not take into account the estimate of R$ 25.4 billion with the privatization of Eletrobras.
The numbers were announced today in the Second Bimester 2022 Primary Income and Expenditure Assessment Report.
The report also shows an increase of R$ 4.8 billion in expenses for the payment of court sentences, in addition to an increase of R$ 1.2 billion with expenses with the reopening of the Safra 21/22 Plan and of R$ 2 billion with the impact of adverse weather events from Proagro.
The expenses do not consider possible salary readjustments to the civil service, whose value of R$ 1.7 billion is already foreseen in this year’s budget.
