Nicaraguan Soccer Team loses Mexican Manuel Rosas

The soccer player of Mexican origin Manuel Rosas, who triumphed in Nicaraguan soccer, retired after 12 years of professional career in the Central American country, whose colors he defended as a national team, the Nicaraguan Soccer Federation (Fenifut) reported Thursday.

“Today one of the most important footballers in recent years for our senior team announced his retirement, Manuel Rosas represented the Blue and White in more than 50 games, also being one of the benchmarks and captains of our national team,” Fenifut said. , in reporting on the footballer’s retirement.

Rosas, a left back known in Nicaragua as “Meño”, retired at the age of 38, after a successful career with the Real Estelí club, where he played 12 seasons, won 16 national titles, and scored 37 goals.

Born in Guadalajara, Mexico, Rosas became a Nicaraguan national at the end of 2012 to be international with Nicaragua, a team of which he was captain, and with which he played 55 games, scoring three goals, two in official games, between 2013 and 2021.
