Two criminals lost their lives this Thursday morning after suffering an electric shock while trying to steal cables.
The incident occurred around 5 a.m. this morning. The events emerged after the Police received the alert about the presence of two people lying on the ground at kilometer 25 of Route 8, in Barros Blanco (Canelones).
According to the Canarian Police Headquarters, the agents arrived at the site and found the two criminals on the floor. One of the men’s feet was in contact with a metal bar, touching a column.

The deceased who made contact with the metal had an electronic ankle bracelet on. The man was 38 years old and had a history of reception and theft. The other deceased has not yet received identification.
Later, medical personnel arrived at the site and confirmed the death of the two people, who were electrocuted. The Police verified that the subjects died while trying to steal cables and received an electric shock.
