The Broad Front would lead a hypothetical national election if it were held right now, according to a survey published Tuesday by the company Equipos Consultores.
35% would vote for the leftist political force if the elections were held today, while the National Party would be second, 10 points behind with 25% of the votes.
The difference between second and third place is abysmal, since only 5% responded in the survey that they would cast their vote for the Colorado Party. Even lower, 2% said they would elect the ultra-conservative Cabildo Abierto party.
Teams clarified that the results presented in Underlined (channel 10) this Tuesday cannot be considered an “intention to vote” because they are very far from any future election, but should be read as “political sympathy by party”.
“If the results are analyzed by political bloc, we find a
important parity”, reads the summary of the report. “The Broad Front exceeds by a few points the sum of the Multicolor Coalition parties (35% to 32%). Therefore, the ‘photo’ of the moment once again shows a parity scenario, with a high number of undecided voters and people who would vote blank or nullified”, he points out.
movements and stability
The Broad Front is in what the pollster understands “a strip of reasonable stability” and that this result of 35% has not moved in the last two years.
“The Colorado Party and Cabildo Abierto have been alternating in third place, with small differences between them, and without exceeding 5% of adhesions, which clearly marks that neither of the two parties has managed to find paths of party growth in this stage”, highlights the consulting company.
The undecided continue to be an important part of society: 25% do not know which party they would vote for if the elections were held now, and the referendum campaign against the Urgent Consideration Law (LUC) “did not intensify party support, but even the opposite situation is observed”, he concludes.
