The plan of solidarity wages promoted by the Executive Power for the creation of jobs will be maintained for four more months, as reported by the President of the Republic, Luis Lacalle Pou, at a press conference.

“Today there was a very good meeting with the congress of mayors, this policy will continue for four months,” said the president from Blanquillo, Peach.

As he explained, the extension will be maintained “basically” with money from the national government with a contribution from the municipalities.

The street hinted that this could be the last extension of the solidarity wages. “if the investment continues; the growth of the rate of activity and employment, and lower unemployment as it has been happening, may not be necessary, ”he indicated.

“What we all aspire to is that people by their own means can undertake, work and lead a decent life with their family,” he added.

“As a result of the crisis and other things that we dragged, this has been a plan designed at the request of some mayors, the government took it as its own and together we developed it,” he said.

First thing in the morning, the secretary of the Presidency, Álvaro Delgado, anticipated that there will be a meeting with official mayors. Details of the proposal will be fine-tuned at the meeting.
