President Abinader will travel to Switzerland this Friday to participate in the World Health Assembly

Santo Domingo.- EPresident Luis Abinader will travel this Friday the 20th to Geneva and Davos, Switzerland, to participate in the 75th World Health Assembly and the World Economic Forum (WEF), where he was invited to speak about the Dominican experience in managing COVID 19, of the post-pandemic economic crisis and the recovery of tourism.

The head of state will leave with his entourage at 7:05 p.m. at the Punta Cana International Airport and is scheduled to arrive in Geneva at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Swiss local time.

The official will hold a meeting with the director general of the World Health Organization (WHO), Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, and then will meet with the Heads of State and Government participating in the summit.

For Sunday the 22nd, President Abinader has scheduled his speech in the welcoming segment of the 75th World Health Assembly.

World Economic Forum

At the end of his participation in the World Health Assembly, the Dominican president will depart from the Geneva airport to Zurich to continue his agenda in Davos, the city where the World Economic Forum is held, also called the Davos Forum.

On Monday the 23rd, the president has scheduled bilateral meetings with important international business entities.

On Monday night, President Abinader will participate in the dinner offered by Klaus Martín Schwab, to the Heads of State and Government, International Organizations and special guests.

Martin Schwab is a German economist and businessman, best known for being the founder of the World Economic Forum.

On Tuesday the 24th, the president will continue with the work and will participate in the press conference on the launch of the Travel and Tourism Development index.

The president is scheduled to return with his entourage next Wednesday the 25th.

The delegation is made up of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Roberto Álvarez; She is assisted by his personal, Mercedes Pichardo; Eilyn Beltran, his secretary general of the National Palace Cabinet, and General Jimmy Arias Grullón, deputy head of the Presidential Security Corps.

Added to this are the ambassadors Virgilio Alcántara, head of the mission at the World Health Organization (WHO), Pablo Valentín; and the president’s press director Daniel Garcia Archibald, who is already in Switzerland.
