Ministry of Housing and UPM will sign an agreement for housing solutions

On behalf of the Ministry of Housing and Territorial Planning (MVOT), Minister Irene Moreira will sign an agreement with the company UPM through which this company will transfer 500 modules to the MVOT to be used for housing.

The activity will be tomorrow, Friday the 20th at 11 am in the hall of the National Housing Directorate, at 402 May 25th Street, corner of Zabala (Ciudad Vieja). The agreement will also be signed by the mayors of Durazno, Carmelo Vidalín; and from Tacuarembó, Wilson Ezquerra, since the housing solutions will be made available to families from these two departments.

According to what was reported by the portfolio, the company will transfer to the Ministry 500 modules that occupy an area of ​​25 hectares, which are currently located on land owned by the BHU, a member of the Public Housing System, to be transformed into housing solutions. . In turn, the Municipalities will collaborate in the installation of these modules. The agreement that is signed will outline the conditions and commitments of each party to make this possible.

Of the donated infrastructure, it is expected that at least 100 housing solutions will be carried out, which will be awarded as the MVOT deems appropriate to beneficiaries within the apartments of Durazno and Tacuarembó, and under the conditions determined with each Intendancy separately. , which will be documented in specific agreements with each of them.
