AN will investigate Trump's attempted invasion of Venezuela

During the ordinary session of this Tuesday, the deputies of the National Assembly (AN), created a Special Commission that will have the purpose of investigating the reported facts where it was assured that Donald Trump and Juan Guaidó intended an invasion attempt against Venezuela.

This investigation was agreed after a debate in parliament due to the evidence presented in recent days.

The commission was made up of: Pedro Infante, José Brito, Ricardio González, Grecia Colmenarez, Mario Silva, Ilenia Media, Oscar Rondero and Alfonzo Campos.

The first vice president of the AN, Iris Varela, assured that it is necessary to preserve the security of the nation. She also explained that all the evidence presented must be investigated.

“Who is Juan Guaidó doing the most harm to, I believe, the United States more than Venezuela. Besides, I don’t think his crimes will go unpunished, justice has to prevail here because the people demand it”, he said.

He said that the evidence against Juan Guaidó is being presented from the United States.

«The gringos themselves are handing over the evidence of the crimes that have been committed. Guaidó became a heavy bag for those who nursed him for a while to carry,” he said.

He assured that the AN is waiting for Justice that should be applied in the case and that the country is also waiting for.

In the debate, deputy Ricardo González pointed out how these confessions show that Guaidó, Vecchio and Borges asked Trump to invade Venezuela, bomb Jose’s refining complex in Anzoátegui and carry out a “special operation” of assassination against President Maduro.

How was the attempted invasion

The Venezuelan ambassador to the UN, Samuel Moncada, revealed statements about meetings of the Venezuelan extreme right with former President Trump. During the meeting it planned an assassination against President Maduro and a military invasion.

Moncada denounced the plan devised in 2020 by the US to impose a naval blockade on Venezuela and Cuba simultaneously.

The objective was to overthrow both governments, which was forged in the White House facilities, by making reference to the statements of Mark Esper, former US Secretary of Defense of the Trump administration.

This is revealed by Mark Esper, former Secretary of Defense of the trump administrationin his book “A Secret Oath” (A sacred oath for its translation into Spanish), where he pointed out that this idea arose on the recommendation of National Security advisers Robert O’Brien and Mauricio Claver-Carone.

According to excerpts from this book cited by the Venezuelan ambassador to the United Nations (UN), Samuel Moncada, this option is proposed as a consequence of the failure of the coup attempt on April 30, 2019.
