On a tour that she will undertake throughout Latin America, which begins tomorrow, Wednesday, May 18, the First Lady of the United States, Jill Biden, will come to Panama and hold a meeting with her counterpart, the Panamanian First Lady Yazmín Colón de Cortizo.
According to information from the White House, Biden will leave Washington this Wednesday for a six-day tour. His visit to Latin America includes stops in Ecuador, Panama and Costa Rica.
In Panama, during his rapprochement with Colón de Cortizo, Biden will visit a hospital in Panama City that has the support of the US PEPFAR program. She will also participate in various events chaired by the Panamanian first lady.
In the sister Republic of Costa Rica, Biden is scheduled to meet with newly elected President Rodrigo Chaves, who took office on May 8. Also for Sunday, she will tour the National Children’s Hospital of Costa Rica.
