A custodian of the Penitentiary System was caught trying to introduce prohibited items to the Nueva Esperanza Penitentiary Center, in the province of Colón.
This was reported by the General Directorate of the Penitentiary System (DGSP) by reiterating its commitment to zero tolerance for corruption.
They detailed that the custodian tried to introduce several items into the prison, among which cell phones and cell phone accessories stand out.

“Let there be full assurance that the corresponding investigations will be carried out and officials or custodians who dishonor the Homeland with their actions will be referred to the pertinent judicial instances,” Castillo pointed out.
