Los Alcarrizos.- The Santo Domingo Oeste regional directorate of the National Police carried out a preventive operation directed by Suárez Burgos, regional director in the Los Alcarrizos, Pedro Brand and SDO neighborhoods.
In the preventive operations, the occupation of firearms, drugs, knives, or homemade weapons was not reported.
The police interventions included checks on citizens with suspicious profiles, vehicles and motorcycle drivers.
These preventive operations were strongly accentuated in the neighborhoods; Las Mercedes, Landia, La Piña, Los Progresos 1 and 2, Pueblo Nuevo, Chavón, Lebrón, El Nazareno and others from Los Alcarrizos and Pantoja.
Likewise, they extended to the 24 de Abril, Arenoso, Los Pabellones, Las Mercedes, Villa Linda, Hato Nuevo, La Cuaba, El Pedregal and El Aguacate sectors of the Pedro Brand municipality.
Then the agents moved to the popular neighborhoods of Ensanche Altagracia de Herrera, Cañada de Guajimia, El Café, Buenos Aires and others in SDO.
The regional director, Colonel Suárez Burgos, pointed out that some points indicated as drug sales were visited but nothing compromising was found and their vendors, noticing the police presence, fled the place.
