Uruguay remains low Orange alert by strong and persistent winds at the rate of an extratropical cyclone, which affects a large part of the central and southern part of the country, reported Inumet.

A fatal victim in Montevideo
About the last hours of Monday, specifically in the Paso de la Arena area, strong winds claimed one victim. The breaking of a palm tree ended the life of a 23-year-old who was inside his house in Paso de la Arena, precisely on Mario Pérez street, on the corner of Lomas de Zamora. The palm tree broke as a result of the strong winds, hitting the roof of the house.
Another person who was in the place managed to get out alive and requested the help of the neighbors. The young man was given first aid by the authorities who arrived at the scene.
Later, she was assisted by the emergency medical doctor who was present, who later confirmed her death.
