Kevin Antonio Zamora Delgado, hostage of the Daniel Ortega dictatorship, suffered from facial paralysis that left him with a dislocated jaw, Santos Vidal Zamora, father of the political prisoner, denounced to THE PRESS.
«He cannot blink, if he opens his eyes he cannot close the eyelid; her tongue is all twisted, her jaw was dislodged during the trip », detailed the father of the political prisoner.

According to the statements of Kevin Zamora Delgado’s father, his son suffered paralysis on Saturday, April 27, but they found out what happened until May 11 during the visit to the political prisoner.
The relatives of a young opponent have insisted that the police authorities provide him with specialized medical attention to value his health condition.
Santos Zamora revealed to THE PRESS that her son has only been cared for by prisoners who have empirical medical knowledge, some because they were nurses. “He (Kevin Zamora Delgado) has not been taken to any hospital, they only take him out there and what they see are the prisoners themselves, he does not have specialized medical care,” he said.
Until now, the father of the political prisoner made the complaint, with the “hope” that the authorities of “La Modelo” would agree to provide medical attention to his son or transfer him to a hospital, but when he did not achieve his objective, he sought organizations to put the complaint and make it public.
Kevin Zamora Delgado was arrested on September 10, 2019, for allegedly carrying two liters of muriatic acid in a backpack. In 2020, he was sentenced to six years in prison and charged with making homemade bombs with aluminum foil and muriatic acid; but since before his arrest he had already been singled out for his participation in the civil protests of 2018, as a high school student.
