A better salary and a more suitable work environment is what the National College of Pharmacists of Panama (Conalfarm) demands.
The president of the board of directors of Conalfarm, Jaime Olive, called a press conference on May 16 to express these demands, which also includes the salary increase that has not been given for 4 years.
He highlighted that some workplaces do not have adequate conditions for the pharmacy specialist to achieve optimal management.
Olive said that through the administration’s attorney, a query was made where the social security fund and the Ministry of Health were ordered to cancel the salary commitments they have with pharmacists.
“That medical prescription that we must dispense corresponds to a citizen and it is our responsibility to provide the greatest possible satisfaction, having all the supplies and the right place,” he said.
