Judge Víctor Zúñiga initially provided a maximum period of eight days, since last April 18, when the Prosecutor’s Office requested 30 days. For this reason, the first date for the presentation of the corrections was April 28, however, the member of the Public Ministry did not comply with the agreement and requested an extension.
The PJ magistrate agreed to extend the term again until the last May 6, but on that occasion the Prosecutor Jose Domingo Perez nor did he manage to present the corresponding corrections. For that reason, requested a new extension of 15 days and Judge Víctor Zúñiga granted him a term of 10 days, that is, until this Monday.
Domingo Pérez’s reason for requesting these extensions was the theft of the laptop of prosecutor Paulina Roquewhich had relevant information on the case against Keiko Fujimoriwhich, as he pointed out, did not allow the initial date to be met.
The prosecutor reported that the theft happened last April 1 and considered it a “force majeure event for the relevance of the documents on the laptop to make the corresponding corrections.
