The Civic Forum insists on asking the opposition group that heads the dialogue in Mexico to integrate all sectors of the country. In addition, they believe that the agenda should address issues such as human, civil, political, social, cultural, environmental rights, justice, reparation for victims, among other issues.
The Civic Forum organization reported this Monday, May 16, that more than 30 of its members held a meeting with various political groups in order to continue with a process of dialogue on social and political matters, this in order to build proposals and solutions to the situation in Venezuela.
The civic forum He spoke with representatives of political parties such as Unión y Progreso, Avanzada Progresista, Fuerza Vecinal, Centrados, MAS and Alianza Pencil, along with other union activists, who were given a document with their proposals.
There, the importance of intermediation and the establishment of a political dialogue that allows the participation of all sectors of the country was emphasized and he believes that the negotiation process such as that of Mexico must have the national interest as its north.
However, they ask that channels be opened that facilitate the public participation of society with the support of the international community so that the negotiations really belong to all Venezuelans. In addition, there must be a “proactive action” by those who are leading the negotiations and therefore it is essential to know what their vision of the situation is.
In the Civic Forum they request that there be a consultation between the different national actors because they consider that there is no hegemonic or majority force in the country. For this reason, they explain that their actions – which include conversations with the diplomatic corps, international organizations, churches, and parties – to specify mechanisms and proposals linked to the memorandum of understanding.

The representatives of the Civic Forum, Keta Stephany and Ricardo Cusanno, stated on Monday, May 9, that the negotiation that takes place in Mexico must deepen and have as a priority the issue of the complex humanitarian emergency and generate short-term solutions to alleviate the Venezuelan situation.
In an interview granted to the Success Circuitthe UCV professor explained that from the Executive they have proposed to agree with the points dealt with by that organization and that some can be resolved, although she said that they did not specify a specific start of where such an action could be to start.
For his part, the former president of Fedecamaras. Ricardo Cusanno indicated that the current strategy of confrontation of maintaining power and seeking to displace the other has not produced results so far and believes, like Stephany, that Venezuelans are losing interest in politics; with everything that has to do with the structural changes in the country, since they are interested in solving their day to day.
He recognized that although there is some improvement in the country’s situation, there are still serious problems in Venezuela and he believes that the political factions need to legitimize themselves by that same disconnection to show that they are doing something.
