Days ago, the legal representatives of ANTEL, Gustavo Bordes and Gastón Chaves, filed a criminal complaint with the Prosecutor’s Office against the past administration for the construction of the ANTEL Arena.
Bordes recalled that at the time ANTEL’s Board of Directors conducted an audit that revealed various irregularities and as a consequence, it was decided to file a criminal complaint. Later, a report was requested from the Board of Transparency and Public Ethics (JUTEP) which refers to “untidiness and illegalities.”
Faults
In the last hours, the representative of the FA in the ANTEL board of directors, Daniel Larrosa, denounced on his Twitter account the existence of “failures in the ANTEL Arena complaint process.”
“The complaint brief on the ANTEL Arena project was presented to the Justice without going through the company’s Board of Directors. And transparency? Asked the opposition representative.
He denounced that the criminal lawyers “Gastón Chaves and Gustavo Bordes were chosen to represent ANTEL through a direct contract.”
Larrosa remarked that the National Civil Service Office observed the hiring of Chaves (because he was a retired public official) and it was decided to hire Bordes only, for the same amount ”.
He added that “the Court of Auditors observed the hiring of criminal lawyer Gustavo Bordes, since said professional had already been carrying out the activities (principle of execution), in breach of article 211 literal B of the Constitution of the Republic. The majority of the Board confirmed the expense.
“How bad the scriptwriter!”, Larrosa ironized, and remarked that the same people who “question lack of transparency, direct hiring without bidding and disregard the pronouncements of the Court of Auditors, adopted all these behaviors in a single act.”
