The director of the Administrator of Airports and Auxiliary Services to Air Navigation (Aasana), Arminda Choque, announced that she will not resign from her position despite the fact that the workers of that institution mobilize for that purpose and to demand the payment of overtime in means of warnings of a stoppage of activities.
“There is no justification for requesting my resignation, while I am in charge of this institution I will continue doing my job, what corresponds to me, I will continue to privilege, in a crisis like the one we are going through, salaries, overtime, then other expenses That’s what we agreed with the workers, ”said Choque.
The workers claim that the appointment of the director is illegal. They argue their position in a regulation that supposedly establishes that she cannot be appointed to public office for two years after her departure from public service. Choque was removed from AASANA in 2020 with the payment of all her benefits.

The official assured that “the harassment and harassment were constant” and said she was surprised because the workers use Decree 21060 to affect their management.
The Aasana workers’ leadership denounced that they are owed overtime payments.
Choque assured that the debt corresponds to the 2020 management and there is a balance that will be paid according to the income received by the institution, a determination that, according to the official, was accepted in several agreements signed by the leadership.
The executive of the Aasana workers, Einar Roca, explained to the CCB portal that in a first phase the bases carry out the symbolic seizure of the facilities throughout the country, later they will activate a sit-down strike, a hunger strike and finally, the December 1 with the total unemployment of the airports.
Choque has called workers to reflection and the Minister of Public Works, Édgar Montaño, considered that the mobilizations seek to affect the category 1 of air navigation that the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) granted to the country.
