Seven Huancavelicans will travel to the “First Capital of Peru”, where they hope to achieve the first places in the eighteenth edition of the Andes Challenge Triathlon, Laguna de Paca. The athletes will leave everything of themselves to take the name of the Huancavelica region to the top.
The Department of Youth, Culture and Sports, of the Department of Social Development of the Regional Government of Huancavelica (GRH), supported with an economic sum for the transfer of athletes.
HUANCAVELICAN ATHLETES WILL PARTICIPATE IN TRIATHLON
They are César Meza Aponte, Rogelio Lázaro Hilario, Nelson Castro Huamán and Willy Carhuapoma Osnayo who belong to the Team Climbers club, as well as Victoriano Quispe Paitán, Claudio Jurado De la Cruz and Moisés Huamán Ccanto from the Javier Hermosa Guerra club.
All of them will participate in the triathlon, a sport that consists of a 750-meter swimming challenge, after which they will cycle for 20 kilometers in the Laguna de Paca, and will finish the competition with a 5-kilometer foot race.

In order for them to have a good participation, the aforementioned deputy management provided financial support for the transportation, food and lodging of the Huancavelican athletes.
“The support to be able to participate in this competition is appreciated. We intend to achieve good results in the triathlon”, expressed Rogelio Lázaro.
Like the young man from Huancavelica, the other athletes thanked the support provided by the regional entity.

The competition that the triathletes will have will be developed today, where competitors from different parts of the country and the world will attend in order to reach one of the medals.
