Santo Domingo.-Representatives of organizations linked to the environment and representative authorities of the Peravia province presented on Saturday the report that they will present to the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, on the pollution produced by the Thermoelectric Power Plant of Catalina Point.

These entities decided to deliver to the representative of the Executive Branch the results of the study ordered by him on August 3 of last year to learn the reality of the problem.
These entities carried out an activity in the Chapter House of the Baní City Council, with the participation of municipal and provincial authorities, municipal monitoring teams, leaders of organizations and representatives of the churches.
Experts and facilitators who worked on the study on the contamination of Punta Catalina also participated, as well as leaders from the Institute of Lawyers for the Environment (INSAPROMA) and the National Committee for the Fight Against Climate Change (CNLCC), which have at their I am in charge of conducting and organizing the research process.
