The Attorney General’s Office, confirmed the dismissal and disability for 15 years of a former official of the National Superintendence of Health.
According to the delegates of the Attorney General’s Office, it is the former delegated superintendent for the Institutional Supervision of the Superintendence National Health, Eva Katherine Carrascal Cantillo, for an unjustified increase in equity amounting to $76,391,060.

The Public Ministry pointed out that the former official, during the exercise of her position, unjustifiably and directly increased her assets.
The Attorney General’s Office stated in a statement that in its second instance decision, Carrascal Cantillo, while in office, made deposits in his personal bank accounts.
She also indicated that these moneys drawn are not related to the only economic activity reported by her at that time, such as delegated superintendent for Institutional Supervision.

Likewise, the Attorney General’s Office explained that after the investigations it was possible to show that the bank appropriations did not come from benefits or from another activity that represented income or from loans that had been made to him.
The entity underlined that in the opinion of the Public Ministry The supports justifying the origin of these economic resources transferred to their bank accounts were not presented.
“The former official violated the principle of morality of the public function by not giving satisfactory explanations about the how he unjustifiably increased his assets”, he stated.

This conduct of the former official of the National Health Superintendencewas qualified by the Disciplinary Chamber of the Attorney General’s Office as very serious by way of fraud, for which the sanction and disability were established.
