Prosecutor Marcelo Pecci was assassinated in Colombia. He was traced to Colombia where he was on his honeymoon with his wife, the journalist Claudia Aguilera. Even an hour before, they announced the journalist’s pregnancy on their networks.

Pecci participated in emblematic cases. The last one was the “A Ultranza” operation that dismantled part of a structure dedicated to organized crime.
The prosecutor specializing in organized crime was killed by three bullets, according to preliminary data. The attack took place in Barú, Colombia. The alleged attackers were mobilized on jet skis. Aguilera, on the other hand, was unharmed in the attack.
CHANCELLERY
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that, after learning of the attack perpetrated in Colombia against prosecutor Marcelo Pecci, a specialized agent against organized crime, the Paraguayan ambassador to Colombia, Sophia López Garelli, was instructed to gather details of what happened and make contact with the wife of the victim and with the highest security authorities in that country.
Consul Romy Romero is currently traveling to the city of Cartagena to closely monitor the case.

Extreme Operation. In March 2022, Marcelo Pecci was one of the prosecutors appointed for the operation that dismantled a criminal structure. It affected national deputies such as Juan Carlos Ozorio and Erico Galeano, both Colorado legislators from the “Honor Colorado” movement.
