According to the latest report of the Venezuelan Observatory of Public Services (OVSP) 27.1% of Venezuelans have a permanent piped water supply.
In the study, the OVSP pointed out that among the cities that always receive the supply are the Andean cities Mérida and San Cristóbal with 66.7 and 62.7% respectively.
Likewise, the organization specified that the difference between the Andean cities and the third place (Barinas) is almost 16 percentage points, with 47.1%.
In the same way, they highlighted that both Mérida (67.0%) and San Cristóbal (70.8%) were the cities that best rated service quality, with the average of all cities positively evaluated being 38.7%. .
Between two to five days
On the other hand, the Venezuelan Observatory of Public Services indicated that only 26.2% of the people surveyed said they had the service between two or five days a week, with Valencia (55.3%) and Caracas (47.3 %) those with the highest percentage.
In addition, 9.3% expressed receiving the resource once a week, 6.5% once every 15 days, 7.4% once a month and 6.4% once a month or more. Among the users who receive the supply once a month, the cities of Punto Fijo (33.4%), Porlamar (23.5%) and Maracaibo (20.9%) stand out.
On the other hand, 4.7% of those consulted indicated that they receive the water supply once a day and 3.9% several times a day, which adds up to the 8.7% of users who have the supply at least once a day.
Likewise, the OVSP specified in its study that only 6.2% of those consulted do not receive the supply despite being connected to the aqueduct network, with Ciudad Bolívar, with 23.0%, being the city with the highest proportion of affected users.

Along the same lines, the organization asked users for how long they receive the resource if they do not have the service continuously: the majority of those consulted, 58.9%, said that they have the supply for more than six hours a day, with a higher percentage in Punto Fijo (79.1%) and Porlamar (79.6%).
The investigation indicated that 20.2% receive the supply between one and three hours a day, with Mérida as the first city with the highest percentage of users who expressed receiving water through their pipes during the mentioned interval.
Next, 11.2% of respondents receive the supply between four and five hours a day, with a higher proportion in Barquisimeto, reaching 20.1% of users.
Finally, 3.2% indicated that they have electricity for thirty minutes or less per day, with the highest percentage in Ciudad Bolívar with 5.7%, followed by Caracas with 4.9% and Barinas with 4.4%.
