The Ministry of Education (MEC) pre-launched the SouTec application, which aims to encourage Brazilian students to choose a technical course according to each profile of interest. The announcement was made at the Bett Brasil fair in São Paulo (SP), this Thursday (12). The launch date is scheduled for the first half of 2022.
According to information in the folder, through the tool, the student must answer questions that assess their preferences related to work activities. When finished, you will have access to a summary and a complete report explaining what the vocational profile is. The focus is on the nearly 12 million students who are in the final years of elementary school (from 6th to 9th grade).
“This demand came from the Secretariat of Vocational and Technological Education [SETEC] from the Ministry of Education, which identified the need for Brazilian students to learn about the professional courses offered by the federal education network. The tool can also be used by professionals who wish to reposition themselves in their professional careers, contributing to stimulate lifelong learning”, disclosed the MEC.
At the event, another application was presented Jornada do Estudante, which aims to unify information on the trajectory of students. The idea is that students can consult their educational records and documents relevant to their trajectory, from their first entry into an educational establishment, public or private, to higher education and specializations.
According to the MEC, the application will also serve as a communication mechanism, so that students receive news from the federal government aimed at education. The launch should also take place in this first semester.
The applications will be available free of charge on the gov.br store for Android and IOS platforms.
