A new arson attack was recorded during the day this Friday in the region of La Araucanía, specifically in the Spain estate, in the Teodoro Schmidt commune.
According to preliminary information, a group of armed individuals arrived at the site, belonging to the CMPC, who intimidated the workers there and proceeded to burn the machinery used mainly in forestry work.
The information from the first cadastre of the incident showed that the attack left at least seven trucks and a crane on fire, which is being confirmed by the local authorities in the area.
Personnel from the Investigative Police arrived at the scene to initiate the skills and try to find the whereabouts of those responsible.
It should be noted that the action is added to a series of various attacks that have been recorded in the area in recent weeks, which has had the Government considering various options to solve the problem in the southern part of the country.
