The actress Thema Fardín affirmed this Friday that the new “delays” in the hearings of the trial for abuse that she is carrying out against Juan Darthes in the Federal Courts of Brazil “put the statute of limitations of the crime at stake” and highlighted: “They ask us to go to justice and justice is this aberrant crap and not at all reparative”.

The federal judge of San Pablo Ali Mazloum, who is conducting the trial, “accepted the request of Darthes’ defense to continue delaying the remaining hearings to finish the trial.”Fardín highlighted through his Instagram account.

“This is because they obviously don’t want to go to the end”said the actress.

At the end of last March, the Brazilian Justice ordered to continue the trial against Juan Darthés by revoking the ruling that had returned to zero the complaint of sexual abuse against the actor.

This decision had come after the oral debate carried out by Judge Ali Mazloum was interrupted last February when it was already in its final stage.

“They ask us to go to justice and justice is this aberrant crap and not at all reparative,” Fardín posted and added: “Life on pause due to a judicial process that no one allows you to leave behind.”

The actress wondered: “How long do you have to resist? How much do you have to endure? How many skills are enough? The years you endure. How much ridicule can you be subjected to? You, the victim.”

And he stressed that Darthés “escaped to another country so as not to be tried where the events took place and now justice continues to endorse impunity and perpetuate pain and re-victimization.”

“Comrades, it will be very difficult to tell you that it is possible, because they do everything to break us, but as I write and cry, I am convinced that fighting is still the only way out. Strength and resistance for all victims of sexual abuse, that is what I wish for us”, highlighted the actress

Many personalities commented on Fardín’s publication, such as Luciana Peker, who was always accompanying her throughout the process: “I am broken, fed up, hurt, indignant and broken. Do not tell us to write, to denounce, to trust in justice, that we continue helping, writing, accompanying because justice mocks us and puts us in an abyss. The only thing they want to cancel are the complaints of sexual abuse. Impunity is not at stake. Something even more serious is at stake: that the Crimes of sexual abuse are not reportable. Today they are not. After me too, the message is that we shut our mouths, “the journalist specializing in gender wrote in comments.

“#todasconthelma” commented Mariana Carbajal @soymarianacarbajal.

order of events

The process began when Fardin filed, in December 2018, a complaint for aggravated sexual abuse against Darthés In Nicaragua. In mid-2019, that country required the opening of a criminal proceeding against the actor for considering him the direct author of the crime of aggravated rape.

However, it was not until October of that same year that, after evaluating the accusation and the evidence offered, it was arranged to arrest and capture Darthés, who was a fugitive in Brazil.

The formal complaint against Darthés, “with the aim that he be prosecuted in Brazil for the events perpetrated in Managua on May 17, 2009 to the detriment of Thelma Fardin”, was filed by the Brazilian Public Prosecutor’s Office in April of last year and the oral trial began in November.

The judicial process, in which three countries participated -Argentina, Brazil and Nicaragua-, had 11 witnesses, who testified remotely before Judge Ali Mazloum. until it was interrupted last February when the Brazilian Justice decided to return everything to zero.
