45% of the new requests correspond to new ventures and 55% are reconversions of pre-existing businesses, added the source.
Official calculations estimate that these economic actors generate 55,205 jobs in the Caribbean country.
MSMEs share the Cuban economic scenario with the socialist state company -the main one for the Government-, non-agricultural cooperatives and self-employment (autonomous).
They can be carried out in activities such as accommodation, beauty services, food production, among others.
However, they do not have access to strategic spheres for the State such as health, telecommunications, energy, defense or the press.
Their composition is state, private or mixed and they are recognized as an economic unit with legal personality with its own characteristics.
