The inflation rate in the country slowed down in April: how much it was

In the midst of a tense climate of discontent and social unrest derived from the rise in the products of the basic basket, the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses of Argentina (INDEC) released the new report on the index of inflation in the country, in which there is evidence of a slight slowdown compared to last month.

According to the latest INDEC report, the rate of inflation in the month of April it was 6% throughout the countrywhich represents a fall of seven percentage points with respect to price index registered in the month of March, which was 6.7%.

Year-on-year inflation hit its highest point in the last three decades.

However, although the monthly inflation index fell slightly in April, the rate of inflation accumulated in the last 12 months shot up to 58%this being the highest indicator that has been recorded in Argentina since 1992, three decades ago.
