Marín asserted that there are coffee crops, tubers, legumes, among other things with the support of some 6,000 small and medium producers in Miranda
The Secretary of Food of the Miranda state, Miguel Marín, assured that a census has been carried out in the entity of the agricultural capacity that exists after having won in the First International Meeting of Venezuelan Specialty Coffees, asserting that there are about 42 thousand hectares of crops.
In an interview given to VTVMarín indicated that in Miranda there are some 6,000 small and medium-sized farmers who, in addition to coffee, grow cocoa, roots and tubers, vegetables, fruits and legumes, also highlighting that the most productive areas are in the Valles del Tuy, Barlovento and Los Altos Mirandinos, although he stressed that Guatire is having relevance for coffee.
He stated that the idea that they handle from the Government is to be able to show the other producers the successes and results that have been obtained with the sowing so that they are encouraged to join efforts in this activity, for which they are carrying out social attention and support plans in agricultural portfolio.

He also stressed that one of the priorities is to fix the roads in at least 450 kilometers, such as in the municipalities of Paz Castillo and Cristóbal Rojas, since for the regional authorities they are areas that must be prioritized. In that sense, they hope that these works will be ready in a maximum of two months and avoid inconveniences with the rainy issue.
Marín recalled that as the Venezuelan economy stabilizes, it will be possible to give greater attention to productive issues and inject capital into Miranda.
The president of the Confederation of Associations of Agricultural Producers of Venezuela (Fedeagro), Celso Fantinel, warned that the armed conflict in Ukraine will affect the nation’s agricultural sector.
In an interview with Unión Radio in March, explained that 16% of the corn sold in the world is produced in Ukraine. While 20% of the oilseeds and everything that has to do with sunflower oil is exported from that country, which since February 24 was invaded by Russian troops.
