MIAMI, United States. — Cubans residing in Ottawa, Canada, clashed this Tuesday with officials of the Castro regime who attended the screening of the film The oldest (2018), dedicated to the Cuban patriot Ignacio Agramonte and Loynaz.
Among the Cubans who rebuked the official Cuban delegation was the influencer Darwin Santana, creator of the YouTube channel Darwin’s world.
“We have come out of the movie and we have faced the Cuban Embassy without fear, without trouble, without any of that. He is already good and cheeky, ”commented the young man while he leaves the place.
The activists took advantage of the occasion to sing slogans such as “Homeland and Life” and remember that Cubans, inside and outside the Island, are asking for freedom.
“What is incredible is that the protagonist of that film had to go into exile in Miami,” Santana said, referring to the actor. Daniel Romero Pildainwho arrived in Miami a few months ago from Mexico.
In statements offered to CubaNetDarwin Santana made it clear that the objective was to dismantle the “great farce” that the regime’s officials wanted to show Canadians.
“We went there because it is our duty. We went there because, first of all, what they were showing Canadians was a big farce. This is a Latin American film festival where every day that passed they projected a film from a different country, and yesterday it was from Cuba,” explained the youtuber.
Santana points out that not only officials from the Cuban Embassy were in the place, but also from other diplomatic headquarters.
“They were between 15 and 20 and we were six. They wanted to do a kind of act to answer questions about the film. And there we burst. Of course, they couldn’t do it,” she expressed.

“We were trying not to fool the people who were there. And they tried to do that with their ´Fatherland or Death´ slogans, etc. They couldn’t beat us,” added the young man.
Darwin Santana warned that wherever the diplomats of the Cuban Embassy go, they will follow behind to confront the lies and manipulation of the Cuban regime.
“We went to tell the truth. And wherever the Cuban Embassy goes to lie, we are going to be behind to be the counterpart of all that, ”said the influencer.
