The woman who was found dead with 14 stab wounds on the shores of the Alalay lagoon in Cochabamba was identified as Laura Daniela Corrales Barrientos, a 32-year-old from Santa Cruz.

It is presumed that the aggressor is his ex-partner, who was apprehended by law enforcement. It would be the seventh case of femicide that shakes the Llajta so far this year.

According to the investigation data, the crime occurred on Thursday night. At approximately 11:10 p.m., members of the Special Force to Fight Violence (Felcv) arrived at the bike path in the vicinity of the Alalay lagoon to verify that the woman had died with several stab wounds to the chest, abdomen and back.

Near the scene of the crime, a T-shirt and a cap that would belong to the aggressor were found. This Friday night, the capture of the main suspect identified as Alex S.

Preliminarily it was indicated that the woman had eight wounds caused by a sharp weapon; however, the autopsy carried out by the Forensic Research Institute (IDIF) established that the victim received 14 stab wounds.

The precautionary measures hearing is expected to be installed in the next few hours.
