Executive Vice President receives a visit from the Prime Minister of Cuba

This Tuesday the Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez, received in her office the Prime Minister of Cuba, Manuel Marrero, who is on an official visit to the country.

During an informative contact by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), it was possible to see when the Cuban official arrived at the office of the Vice Presidency of the Republic, with whom he planned to discuss matters of bilateral interest such as alliances and the strategic agenda between both countries.

Honors to the Liberator

Prior to the meeting with the Vice President, Marrero paid honors to the Father of the Nation, Simón Bolívar, with a floral offering at the National Pantheon, accompanied by the Chancellor of the Republic, Félix Plasencia.

The Prime Minister of Cuba is in Venezuela as part of a working visit to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

During the act at the Pantheon, Marrero highlighted: “Like 20 years ago, the civic-military union has demonstrated and defeated every imperialist action. Here we meet and the eternal dream of Commanders Fidel and Chávez continues to unite us, that is why that brotherhood is invincible.”

He also expressed his gratitude to the Venezuelan people and the government of President Nicolás Maduro, to whom he offers his unrestricted support.

“Our eternal and fraternal accompaniment to the Bolivarian Revolution and our unrestricted support to comrade Nicolás Maduro Moros, who has shown that it was possible, it is possible and it will always be possible,” he stressed.

Mountain Barracks

The Prime Minister of Cuba, together with the delegation that accompanies him, also visited the Cuartel de la Montaña, to pay tribute to Commander Hugo Chávez.

Work Visit

Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero arrived in Venezuela at noon on Monday to strengthen bilateral relations.

It is the fifth visit made by the Cuban official to the country and the first as Prime Minister of Cuba.

Marrero visits Venezuela together with the Cuban delegation made up of the Vice Prime Minister, Jorge Luis Tapia Fonseca; the holders of the Health, Agriculture and Food Industry portfolios; as well as deputy ministers of Foreign Affairs, Energy and Mines and Foreign Trade, among other government officials.
