With the victory, the team from Gávea kept the distance of 8 points to the leader Atlético-MG, who defeated Juventude 2-0 earlier. For Colorado, the defeat represented the permanence in the 7th position with 47 points.

The two teams return to play for the Brazilian next Wednesday (24). Rubro-Negro will face Grêmio in Porto Alegre, and Colorado will face Fluminense in Maracanã.
