Kicillof started the works for a sewage treatment plant

The Governor of the Province of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillolaunched this Monday, together with the Minister of Public Works of the Nation, Gabriel Katopodisthe expansion and readjustment works of the sewage treatment plant of the municipality of Saladillo and assured that “the work is going to change the lives of those who live here today and of the next generations”.

The act was also attended by the Minister of Infrastructure and Public Services, Leonardo Nardini; the deputy administrator of the National Entity of Water Sanitation Works (ENHOSA), Nestor Alvarez; the local mayor, Joseph Louis Solomon; and the municipal undersecretary of Sanitary Services and Environmental Management, Mariela Incollainformed the Buenos Aires Government.

In this context, Kicillof stressed that “this is a structural work for Saladillo because it is very difficult to think that the quality of life can be improved in a municipality that does not have a sewage treatment plant.”

“We are starting a work that will change the lives of those who live here today and to future generations, since this plant will be made to accompany 60 years of growth in Saladillo,” he added.

With an investment of 757 million pesos and joint work between the Nation, the Province and the municipality, the project will provide solutions for more than 40 thousand neighbors of the area.

“We come from a time in which the country and the province of Buenos Aires took on huge debts without these resources being reflected in the infrastructure and well-being of our people,” said the Governor,” while adding that “as well as there are works that the municipality cannot do on its own, there are others that the provincial government cannot carry out without support”.

“That is why, together with Minister Katopodis, and through him, thanking the President Alberto Fernandezwe do not work with compartmentalized plans for national, provincial and municipal works, but we carry out a single infrastructure plan that belongs to the people of Buenos Aires,” said the provincial president.

As officially reported, the project foresees a biological treatment system to reduce odorss and the construction of a new collector that will move the tipping point further away to reduce the inconvenience to the local residents.

In addition, it will ensure the environmental protection of the water bodies that receive the effluents through the implementation of a control and monitoring system.

Meanwhile, Katopodis stressed that “these are the works that allow us to start organize the future of Argentina“.

“With this treatment plant we are going to be able to think about the municipality of Saladillo for the next few years, where the important thing will be that all the neighbors have the quality of life they deserve,” the Minister stressed.

In addition, Katopodis reported on “the implementation of projects to start, together with the province of Buenos Aires, works in which we are going to invest more than 40 billion pesos to develop a road corridor that starts from Cañuelas and reaches Saladillo”.

These are the construction works of a new plant for the reception and pre-treatment of liquids from atmospheric trucks, which will be complemented by the creation of a new electrical building; the readjustment of the facilities used as a laboratory, command and control room; accesses through paved roads; and the general lighting of the property.

Meanwhile, Mayor Salomón remarked: “We are kicking off a very important work for all of uswhich has been awaited by the community of Saladillo for at least 25 years”.

“We all work together for this project and to reach this date in which we start a work that allows us to imagine the growth and development of our community,” said the Communal Chief.

Finally, Kicillof assured that “with the investment in public works, we are also activating the virtuous circle that serves to generate work in each locality and improve income distribution.”

“We are going to continue doing everything we have to do so that within the province there are conditions that allow all of the people of Buenos Aires to develop,” he concluded.
