Yesterday, President Luis Arce congratulated Vice President David Choquehuanca on his birthday and highlighted his wisdom and revolutionary clarity in the country which, in his opinion, are a guide to continue building the country with social justice.
“We send a big hug to our vice president brother, Jilata David Choquehuanca, for his birthday. His wisdom, revolutionary clarity and historical struggle for our Plurinational State are a guide to continue building a country with social justice. Congratulations, Jilata”, he expressed through social networks.
Choquehuanca was born on May 7, 1961 in the Aymara community of “Cota Cota Baja” belonging to the municipality of Huarina, in the Omasuyos province of La Paz, according to ABI.
After a political and trade union career, he was Minister of Foreign Affairs between 2006 and 2017. He was Secretary General of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America.
In 1990, he completed a postgraduate degree in History and Anthropology at Cides-UMSA and in 2001-2002, a higher diploma in Rights of Indigenous Peoples, at Cordillera University. She received the Medal of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay (2006) and the Grand Cross of the Order of the Sun of Peru (2010).
