The tennis player Beatriz Haddad Maia won by 2 sets to 0 (partials of 7/6 (3) and 6/3 – in 2h04 of game) the match against the Russian Anna Blinkova in the final of the WTA 125 of Saint Malo, in France, in this morning Sunday (8). With the victory, the Brazilian won her first singles title on the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) circuit and the biggest achievement of her career.

In addition to the trophy, the number 1 in Brazil will jump in the WTA ranking and should reach the best position of her career. She will move from the former 65th rank to 52nd. So far, the athlete’s best position had been the 58th place in September 2017.
