The plenary session of Congress will elect this Tuesday, May 10, the new magistrates of the Constitutional Court (TC), in the middle of a process punctuated by secrecy, by the special commission of this contest, which was chaired by the legislator Jose Balcazar (Free Peru).
On April 20, the Transparency Court issued resolution 938-2022, ordering Congress to deliver the reports prepared by the Comptroller’s Office, in relation to the sworn declarations of interests of the applicants to the TC. The deadline was ten business days.

Thus, the legislators will define the new magistrates, without the citizens having fully exercised their right to participate, due to the secrecy of the commission.
The Comptroller’s reports contain relevant information, such as the report of the coercive debt detected before Sunat to the applicant Gustavo Gutiérrez, who on the fly was forced to cancel and now ranks second.
