The Undersecretary of Electric Energy, Federico Basualdo, visited the Yacyretá hydroelectric complex to review the maintenance and recovery works of the generating park, as well as the machining works of the Aña Cuá arm that will increase the installed power of the plant.
The executive director of the Yacyretá Binational Entity (EBY), Fernando De Vido, was in charge of receiving Basualdo, who arrived accompanied by the deputy general manager of the company Energía Argentina, Gastón Leydet, and the general manager of Cammesa, Sebastián Bonetto.
At the Hydroelectric Power Plant, they reviewed the progress of the maintenance and recovery program of the generating park by the Head of the Technical Department, Luis Marcelo Cardinali.
During the tour they visited the sectors where various works of modernization and updating of systems and scheduled maintenance of the equipment are carried out.
In the machining works of the Añá Cuá arm they were received by the manager Fabián Ríos, who provided them with technical details of the work being carried out in the construction of the extension of the Generating Park, in addition they observed the electromechanical components of the three Generating Units.
The manager explained to the officials that the new Hydroelectric Power Plant will contribute a 10% increase to the energy generation of the Yacyretá Hydroelectric Complex, with an installed power of 270 megawatts, with three Kaplan-type turbines of 90.20 MW of power each. one, using the ecological flow of 1,500 cubic meters per second.
As part of EBY’s work, the electric power transformer station was also highlighted, which required an investment of $425 million, to supply an industrial park and a port in the city of Ituzaingó, in Corrientes, as well as other northern districts. from the province.
