They order an insurance measure against Marta Ciodaro Gómez, former departmental registrar of Bolívar and former judicial attorney delegated before the Administrative Court of Bolívarfor her alleged participation as the determiner and author of the events that led to the annulment of the mayoral elections in the municipality of Achí (Bolívar), in 2019.

The 11th municipal criminal judge of Cartagena held that, “these people must answer for the crimes of disturbance of the democratic contest, riot, fire, destruction of public document and damage to another’s property on October 27, 2019 in Achí, Bolívar, which ended with the destruction of electoral material, intimidation against voting jurors, aggression against people and the destruction of the mayor’s office and the municipal library“.
The investigation was carried out for more than two years by the Sectional Prosecutor’s Office 53 where enough evidentiary material was collectedwhich allowed the guarantee control judge to issue arrest warrants and the subsequent imputation of those captured.

The measure was also extended against relatives and members of the mayoral candidate’s campaign: Yeimis Rojas Rojas, Daniela Hernández Nadjar, Álvaro Vanegas Pérez, Luis Alfredo Hernández, Neider López Rojas, Neguib Meriño Rojas and Luis Antonio Meléndez, against whom an insurance measure was ordered in a prison center, for which they must be transferred to the Ternera Prison.
“There was not the slightest doubt that Messrs. Neguib Meriño Rojas and Álvaro Vanegas Pérez had been material authors, coordinators and determiners of the mob in such a way that they had control of what happened on election day in Achí. It was evident that Mrs. Marta Ciodar Gómez knew what was going to happen and signaled to the mob to destroy the electoral material,” the judge said.
The prosecution stated that The violent acts that occurred in Achí were planned with the intention of destroying more than 25% of the electoral material and thereby achieving the repetition of the elections..

“Indeed, after the events, the elections were sued by the former candidate Yeimi Rojas and Mrs. Marta Ciodaro and in the month of November 2021, the Administrative Court of Bolívar declared the nullity of the 2019 election and ordered its repetition, the which took place on April 24 and ended with the election of Juan Carlos Becerra”, concluded the judge.
