ONPE developed the official simulation of the electoral counting system for internal elections

The (ONPE) carried out this Saturday, May 7, the official simulation of the electoral computation system corresponding to the process of . The activity made it possible to verify the functionality of the electoral software in the only computer center enabled for these elections.

The official drill began at 09:00 am at the headquarters of the ONPE with the execution of the verification program of the electoral software and the execution of the zeroing in the servers of the electoral body. In both cases, the respective reports were issued through the Results Computation System (SCORE).

The zeroing of the electoral computation system consists of the elimination of the records from the database, through the electoral software, which runs on the aforementioned servers to start the processing of the electoral records.

Next, the corresponding minutes were signed by the representatives of the National Election Jury (JNE)National Registry of Identification and Civil Status (Renieck), ONPE and technical representatives of the attending political organizations.

The drill also included the electrical power unavailability contingency test to ensure the continuity of the calculation of results.

Subsequently, between 9:30 am and 1:00 pm, activities were monitored at the computer center, the digitization center of the Regional Coordination Offices (ORC)/ Focal Points, and polling places.

For the Internal Elections 2022the ONPE has a computer center installed in the Jirón Talara premises (Jesús María, Lima) and a digitization center in each of the 19 Regional Coordination Offices (ORC) and the 9 Focal Points.

On Sunday, May 15, the electoral records of the Lima polling places (product of the application of the Technological Solution to Support the Scrutiny -STAE) will be sent to the Lima computer center to continue with quality control, since the results are transmitted from the transmission points of the polling places themselves and are integrated into the computer center in Lima.

The electoral records of the rest of the country (using the STAE and conventional) will be transferred to the digitization centers, where they will be digitized and transmitted to be integrated into the Lima computing center. There the quality control will be carried out in the case of the STAE and they will be digitized in the case of the conventional acts.

On Sunday, May 15, the members and affiliates of 5 political parties, 53 regional movements and an electoral alliance will go to the polls to directly choose their candidates from the Regional and Municipal Elections 2022.

That same day, the affiliates of the 88 organizations that chose the indirect modality will select their delegates who on May 22 will choose their candidates for the October elections.
