Claudia López, mayor of Bogotá, announced that the capital of the country will be 10 years under construction to finish the different infrastructure projects, most of which have already started.
(Two TransMilenio patio-workshops are inaugurated on the outskirts of Bogotá).
Among the main works, the following stand out: the South Highway; the extension of the Autonorte and the Seventh; the construction of the first and second line of the Metro; and improve Calle 80, Calle 63, the ALO and Calle 13.
(Bogota Mayor’s Office requested a debt quota of $5.8 billion).
“The works are not from the rulers, the works are not from the mayors, the works are from the taxes of the citizens,” López said.
The president also wrote on her official Twitter account: “together with the National Government and thanks to the citizens’ taxes, we are making the largest investment in history in infrastructure and clean and sustainable public transport. That is why they chose us and We are honoring his mandate.”
