An agreement was reached between the Government and the forestry truck drivers who were mobilized in the Biobío Region, for which the stoppages have been put to an end.
The Undersecretary of the Interior, Manuel Monsalve, pointed out that “we have specified some points, surely the point that has generated the greatest interest is the Government’s willingness to promote a constitutional reform that allows the creation of a new power for the President of the Republic, for which requires a modification to article 32 of the Constitution and also to article 45.”
Monsalve explained that “it is a state of protection and safeguarding of roads and routes, either because there are serious alterations to security or to guarantee free transit through them”, as an alternative to the State of Exception, ensuring the protection of routes but without altering citizen freedoms.

The agreement is that the mobilization is lifted, the roads are cleared and I have 100% certainty that it will happen.
