The libraries of São Paulo (BSP) and Parque Villa-Lobos (BVL), both of the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy of the State of São Paulo, will have activities in honor of the International Day against Homophobia (May 17).
The São Paulo Library promotes, on the 13th, from 4 pm to 5:30 pm, a lecture with the drag queen Rita von Hunty, who will present a brief history of the LGBT (gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender) movements and drags. in the lecture onlineRita will explain the meaning of the acronym LGBTQIA+ (lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transsexuals, transvestites, transgenders, queerintersex, asexual and more).
In addition, she will talk about the differentiation between sexuality and gender identity and the importance of representation, inclusion, acceptance and respect for diversities. The activity is recommended for people aged 16 and over and registrations can be made at site from BSP.
Book under debate
At the Parque Villa-Lobos Library, the work chosen for the Reading Club, with a meeting scheduled for May 27, from 3 pm to 5 pm, also makes reference to the date. The activity, carried out in partnership with Companhia das Leituras, will debate the bookfather, fatherby João Silvério Trevisan.
