Minister Pino on missing women: "It’s not all as it is said, you have to be careful".


Regarding the possible causes of these disappearances, the head of Security pointed out that it has been proven that in some cases “many of these people have left with another partner, they have emigrated from Panama.”

The Minister of Public Security, Juan Manuel Pino referred this Saturday to the reports of several missing women in Chiriquí and other regions of the country, informed through social networks by their relatives. Pino indicated that “you have to be very careful when young people post… these are cases where when you go out to speak, you have to have a lot of respect and be very sure of what you are saying, but it is not all as it is said.”

Regarding the possible causes of these disappearances, the head of Security pointed out that it has been proven that in some cases “many of these people have left with another partner, they have emigrated from Panama.”

Pino assured that the DIJ with the Public Ministry have been responsible in the investigations of the reported cases, which so far have confirmed a total of 15 cases.
